Minister for Europe Caroline Flint visited Ukraine
The UK’s Minister for Europe Rt Hon Caroline Flint MP visited Ukraine on 2 –3 December 2008. In Simferopol the Minister met representatives of the Crimean authorities. In Kyiv she met the President of Ukraine, the Vice Prime Minister, and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.

The Embassy also facilitates the legitimate movement of people between our countries and offers assistance to British citizens in need.
Visa Announcement
Due to the high number of public holidays in late December and early January, any customers intending to travel to the UK prior to the New Year, 31st December, are advised to apply as early as possible, preferably before Monday 15th December. The United Kingdom visa application website advises all applicants to apply at least eight weeks before the intended date of travel. Applications may be submitted up to three months prior to the intended travel date. It is unlikely that requests for earlier appointments, outside those available through the online appointment booking system, will be agreed.
